02/07/2011 - Mehler Texnologies supports university project
As the company had already done in 2009 with the ‘White Cube’ project, in 2010 Mehler Texnologies again supported a project run by the Bauhaus University in Weimar: the ‘Oskar Sala Initiative 2010’.
To mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of musician Oskar Sala, who ranks as one of the pioneers of electronic music and was the inventor of the ‘Mixtur-Trautonium’, a very experimental exhibition pavillion of sound and light was erected from 23rd – 31st October on the E-Works site in Weimar.
Visitors were able to explore the pavillion as it constantly transformed itself and to experience the effects of the interesting combination of light and sound.
Made of AIRTEX® FR, the pavillion’s attractions included numerous audio installations, a trautonium built by the students themselves and space for showing two films.
